The Links at Stono Ferry combines the historic traditions of Charleston with exciting golf along the Intracoastal waters of South Carolina. The Battle at Stono Ferry was fought on these grounds in 1779. As you play your way around this beautiful links, you’ll discover many relics from this amazing piece of history. The battle is still being fought today, only this time it is over 18 of Charleston’s best golf holes. New Champion bermudagrass putting surfaces were installed as well as the creation of the heart-pounding, island-green 18th hole. The results of these efforts won Stono Ferry the prestigious “Charleston Area Golf Course of the Year Award”.
The front nine winds its way through majestic pines and waste area-lined fairways while the back nine plays along the banks of the Intracoastal waterway. Known for its back nine heroics, scenic views and the new island green 18th hole, Stono Ferry offers golfers of all abilities one of the most unique tests in all of Charleston.
Also dotting the club’s landscape is an expansive practice facility complete with target greens, as well as practice chipping and putting greens to help you hone those all important stroke-saving shots.
